Prince Louis, the youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, is set to celebrate his sixth birthday this Monday, 23 April. Born in 2018 at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, Louis has already had some incredible public moments in his young life.
From his enthusiastic waving at public events to his sweet interactions with family members, Prince Louis has captured the hearts of royal fans everywhere. One memorable moment was at a ceremony in 2019, where the then 13-month-old stole the show with his waving and adorable demeanor. Sporting a blue and white outfit previously worn by his father and uncle, Louis charmed everyone present.
In 2020, Prince Louis surprised royal watchers by speaking for the first time in public during a Q&A session with Sir David Attenborough. At just two years old, his little voice enchanted listeners and gave a glimpse into his budding personality.
Prince Louis’s first day at Willcocks Nursery on his third birthday was marked with a photo shared by his mother, Kate. Dressed in a smart outfit, Louis looked ready for his big day as he prepared to embark on his educational journey. He has also been seen joining his family at various royal events, showcasing his cheeky antics and sweet bond with his siblings.
A significant day for the royal family was the coronation of King Charles on 6 May 2023. Prince Louis was in attendance at Westminster Abbey, accompanied by his siblings and nanny. While he left his seat midway through the two-hour service, Louis rejoined his family for the carriage procession back to Buckingham Palace and enjoyed watching the fly-past from the balcony.
Prince Louis and his siblings also took part in community activities, such as volunteering with a Scout group in Slough as part of the Big Help Out following the coronation. From filling up a wheelbarrow with sand to trying his hand at painting, Louis embraced the tasks with enthusiasm and even got to enjoy toasted marshmallows with his family.
