Former wrestling star 2 Cold Scorpio, whose real name is Charles Scaggs, found himself in a precarious situation on June 15 when he was arrested for violently stabbing a man during a fight at a gas station. According to court documents, the incident took place at around 3:40 AM at a Love’s Travel Stop in Kansas City, Missouri. Scaggs claimed that he was working as a security guard at the store when he saw a man lighting up a cigarette inside the establishment.
The victim, on the other hand, denied lighting up inside the store and explained that he thought the cigarette was extinguished before entering the building. Scaggs confronted the man about smoking indoors, which led to a heated exchange. The situation escalated when the man allegedly threatened Scaggs and attempted to grapple with him outside the store.
During the scuffle, Scaggs admitted to pulling out a knife from his pocket and stabbing the man in self-defense. He claimed that the altercation continued for some time, during which he inflicted more stabs on the victim. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found the injured man lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds on his head, chest, buttocks, legs, and abdomen.
As a result of the incident, Scaggs was arrested and charged with two felony charges: first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Despite pleading not guilty to the charges after bonding out of jail, he is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing next month. This arrest marks a significant setback for Scaggs, who has had a long and storied career in professional wrestling.
2 Cold Scorpio, as he was known in the wrestling world, began his career in 1985 and competed for various promotions, including the WWE. He held multiple championship belts during his tenure and was also recognized under the stage name “Flash Funk.” However, this incident has cast a shadow over his accomplishments in the ring and raised questions about his conduct outside of wrestling.
The arrest of 2 Cold Scorpio for stabbing a man during a gas station fight has sparked controversy and legal repercussions. While Scaggs maintains that he was acting in self-defense, the victim’s account and the severity of the injuries raise doubts about the nature of the altercation. As the case unfolds in court, the wrestling community and fans of 2 Cold Scorpio are left to grapple with the implications of this troubling incident on his reputation and legacy in the industry.
