Coleen Nolan recently took to social media to celebrate her sister Linda’s 65th birthday with a heartfelt message. The picture shared on Instagram showed the sisters looking radiant in glittery jackets, a true testament to their bond and strength as they both smiled for the camera. Linda, who is currently battling brain cancer, has been an inspiration in raising awareness for the disease. Her resilience and positivity have been truly remarkable throughout her journey.
Linda’s battle with cancer began in 2006 when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. She then faced pelvic cancer in 2017, followed by the news of the disease spreading to her brain in March 2023. Despite the challenges she has faced, Linda has shown immense courage in sharing her journey with the world. In a recent interview, she expressed her gratitude for the positive news of her tumours shrinking, a ray of hope in her fight against the disease.
Tragically, cancer has struck the Nolan sisters multiple times. Anne Nolan was the first to be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000, followed by Linda in 2005, and Bernie in 2010, who sadly passed away in 2013. The family has been through immense hardships, but their unity and support for one another have been unwavering in the face of adversity.
Coleen, too, faced her own battle with cancer last year when she was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma and melanoma. However, she chose to keep her diagnosis private initially, feeling that it paled in comparison to her sister’s struggles. Despite considering elective surgery, she ultimately decided against it, guided by Linda’s advice and support.
The Nolan sisters have shown incredible strength and resilience in the face of cancer, proving that love, unity, and positivity can help overcome even the toughest of challenges. Their unwavering bond and support for one another serve as an inspiration to many facing similar struggles. As they continue to navigate through their journeys, they stand as a beacon of hope and courage for all those fighting against cancer.
