David Benavidez Plans to Dominate Oleksandr Gvozdyk in WBC Interim Light Heavyweight Title Bout

Star boxer David Benavidez is making bold claims ahead of his big bout against Oleksandr Gvozdyk this Saturday night. Benavidez, with a record of 28-0, is confident that he will emerge victorious and take home the WBC interim light heavyweight title. Despite moving up weight classes to face Gvozdyk at 175 lbs., Benavidez maintains that he is more than capable of defeating his opponent.

Benavidez’s confidence stems from his past sparring sessions with Gvozdyk. According to Benavidez, he got the best of Gvozdyk when they sparred a few years back, even though he was younger at the time. With more experience and strength now at 27, Benavidez believes that he will have the upper hand in the upcoming fight. He stated, “It’s gonna be a bad night for Oleksandr Gvozdyk.”

Benavidez is not taking his opponent lightly and claims to know Gvozdyk’s strengths and weaknesses personally. He affirms that he is prepared for whatever Gvozdyk brings to the ring on Saturday. Additionally, Benavidez is excited to display his new strength and power to the fans and fellow boxers like Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and Frank Martin, who are also on the fight card. He predicts that the upcoming event will be a memorable night for all boxing fans.

Despite already having a successful career in boxing since turning pro at age 16, David Benavidez shows no signs of slowing down. He aims to continue fighting for another “10 to 15” years, with one of his dream fights being against Canelo Alvarez. However, Benavidez acknowledges that Canelo has not agreed to fight him yet. Nevertheless, a win on Saturday could potentially change Canelo’s mind and lead to the matchup that Benavidez desires.

David Benavidez’s confidence, experience, and preparation are key factors in his mindset heading into the fight against Oleksandr Gvozdyk. With high expectations for Saturday night’s bout, Benavidez is determined to showcase his skills and come out on top, paving the way for future success in the boxing world.
