Sophie Hall, a social media influencer with a large following on Instagram, has recently filed a lawsuit in Broward County, Fla. against NFL star Tyreek Hill. The lawsuit alleges that Hill broke her leg during a football drill that took place in his backyard last summer. This incident, according to Hall, occurred shortly after she had booked a ticket for her son to attend one of Hill’s football camps in South Florida.
Hall claims that after booking the ticket, she received flirtatious messages from Hill on Instagram. Among these messages was one where Hill referred to himself as a “good stepdad.” Additionally, Hill invited Hall to come a day early so they could hang out together. Following their conversation on Instagram, Hill provided Hall with his personal cell phone number.
On June 17, Hall attended the football camp with her son, where Hill allegedly asked her to visit him at his Southwest Ranches mansion. A few days after this initial meeting, Hill made travel arrangements for Hall to join him again on June 28. During this visit, Hill asked Hall to participate in football drills during a training session in his backyard. The drill involved a 1-on-1 match between them in a defensive line vs. offensive line style.
According to Hall, during the drill, she pushed Hill backward, causing him to feel embarrassed. This led to Hill flipping the drill around so that he could rush against her. Hall alleges that after a couple of repetitions, Hill charged into her violently and forcefully, resulting in a right leg injury. Despite complaining about the pain, Hall claims that Hill downplayed the severity of her injury, instructing her to rest and ice the leg.
Upon returning home on July 1, 2023, Hall visited an orthopedist who diagnosed her with a leg fracture that required metal hardware implantation for treatment. Hall continues to experience persistent pain and weakness from the injury and is seeking significant damages from Hill for her injuries. She believes that Hill’s actions were reckless and has decided to pursue legal action to hold him accountable for the consequences of the incident.
The allegations made by Sophie Hall against Tyreek Hill are serious and concerning. The claims of a violent and forceful act resulting in a severe leg injury are troubling, especially given the context of their interaction during a football drill in his backyard.
