The Duchess of Edinburgh, a patron of the University of the Arts London, recently visited the London College of Fashion’s new East Bank campus in style. During her visit, the royal was treated to a glimpse of the Postgraduate Class of 2024 exhibition, which showcased the work of courses such as Fashion Artefact, Fashion Photography, and Costume Design for Performance.
Sophie, aged 59, exuded sophistication and elegance during her visit. She opted for a timeless navy shirt dress, accessorized with matching navy court shoes and a metallic silver clutch bag. Her blonde locks were styled in a low chignon, allowing her black pearl earrings to shine. The visit to the London College of Fashion comes after a busy month for the Duchess. She recently returned from a trip to the French Alps, where she attended the Inter-Services Snow Sports Championships as the Patron of The UK Armed Forces Winter Sports Association. Sophie, a proficient skier herself, was spotted presenting medals to the athletes and attending a dinner at Hôtel L’Eterlou. She showcased her ski style with Sweaty Betty ‘Moritz Soft Shell Ski Trousers’ and a vibrant knitwear from Perfect Moment Sports.
The Duchess’s trip to France coincided with Buckingham Palace’s confirmation of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis. Despite the news, the monarch remains “very positive” about his treatment as doctors caught the cancer early. The royal family is expected to rally together during this time, with Queen Camilla and Prince William likely to shoulder more responsibilities. Working royals like Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie may also take on extra duties in the coming months.
